Privacy policy
Cloak Health · last updated October 4, 2026 (home location added)
Cloak Health shows public environmental information: UV and weather from Apple Weather, air quality from EPA AirNow, and public records about your water system from EPA and state agencies. It has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and it doesn't sell or share data.
Location
Used only to show UV, weather and air quality, and to find your county. Coordinates sent to Cloak's air service are rounded to about 1 km and are not stored or logged. Cloak keeps no location history. If you save a home location in Profile, its name and approximate position (about 100 m) are kept on your device only, and you can remove it anytime. Apple's weather, map search and geocoding services receive your location or the place you type, under Apple's privacy policy.
Your water system
If you confirm a water system, its public ID, name and county are saved on your device, with a copy of its last record for when you're offline. Cloak's service receives only the public system ID to look up results and keeps nothing.
Your answers
Plastics and home moisture answers stay on your device.
Deleting your data
Settings → Reset everything removes all of it from your device. Deleting the app does the same.
Children
Cloak Health isn't directed to children and collects no personal information from anyone.
